Enough is Enough: Fund Services for Women and Girls Now

Recently, the Government announced how it plans to spend public money over the next three years  — but it didn’t mention domestic abuse or violence against women and girls even once.

By staying silent, the Government has made its priorities clear. But you can speak up.

This was a crucial chance for the Government to show real commitment to protecting women and girls, just as they pledged to do. Instead, key departments that support survivors are now facing budget cuts.

Right now, there’s a £307 million gap in funding for the services that women and girls rely on — including refuge accommodation, specialist support workers, and prevention work.

Every two minutes, someone turns to Refuge for help. But with services underfunded across the country, women and children are being turned away — and some may have no choice but to stay with or return to their abuser. The Government has promised to halve violence against women and girls within 10 years — but without proper funding, that promise is meaningless.

Enough is enough.

Women and girls deserve more than warm words. They deserve safety, support, and a system that protects them.

The Government stayed silent — but you don’t have to. Add your name to demand the Government to urgently plug the £307 million funding gap for survivors and deliver on its promise to protect women and girls.
